Trespasser Struck. Lawrence

On January 26, 2018 at approximately 2:30PM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to respond to Lawrence for a person possibly struck by a train. Several TPD units along with Lawrence Fire and EMS responded. Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: a male while trespassing on the right of way in the vicinity of the Lawrence MBTA CR Station was struck by an inbound Haverhill Line MBTA commuter rail train . The male, approx age of 30, has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.

Transit Police detectives along with the Essex County DA's Office are investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected.
