Jonathan Santiago
On December 17, 2017 at approximately 10:30AM Transit Police officers on patrol at the MBTA's Chinatown Station had their attention drawn to a male, later identified as Jonathan Santiago, 28, of Boston. Santiago was smoking from a cigarette inside the station near the south entrance. Officers approached for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered Santiago was wanted in Ponce, Puerto Rico for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

TPD officers confirmed with Puerto Rican authorities the warrant was extraditable. Santiago was placed into custody for being a Fugitive from Justice and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
