Everett man arrested for dealing drugs on a Red Line train

On February 20, 2014 at approximately 3:55 pm Transit Police detectives were travelling on an inbound MBTA Red Line train. As the train was approaching South Station the detectives observed two males on board the train, later identified as Anthony Cogliano, 40 of Everett and John Burgoon, 25 of Dorchester, engage in a hand to hand drug transaction. Detectives removed both subjects from the train at South Station and placed Cogliano into custody for Distribution of a Controlled Class B Substance to wit Amphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Class B Substance to wit Amphetamine. Burgoon was placed into custody for Possession of a Controlled Class B Substance to wit Amphetamine. They were transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. It is expected both Cogliano and Burgoon will be arraigned sometime today in Boston Municipal Court-Central Division.
