The subject depicted above is wanted for questioning relative to an Assault & Battery Dangerous Weapon (Pepper Spray) onboard an MBTA bus at Nahant Street and Broad Street in Lynn, on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at approximately 6:45 PM.

TPD officer attacked by stray dog in Shawmut station.

 On June 9, 2021 at approximately 5:45AM a Transit Police officer assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Shawmut Station for a report of a stray dog running loose within the station. Upon arrival the officer observed a dog, possibly a German Shepard mix, unleashed and unattended. The officer approached the dog to ascertain if there were any tags or other identifiers located on the dog. As the officer got close the dog suddenly lunged at the officer biting and maintaining that bite on the officers hand. The dog would go on the bite the officer two additional times while the officer fought the dog off. The officer determined lethal force was too risky based on other passengers in possible line of fire. Ultimately the officer fought the dog off and had to close the station and temporarily evacuate passengers.  

A Transit Police Master K9 trainer was deployed to the scene and secured the animal. City of Boston Animal Control took custody of the dog and placed him quarantine.

The officer was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. 

The matter remains under investigation.

Dedham man decides the MBTA would be a good place to......

 On June 8, 2021 at approximately 5:43PM TPD officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's South Weymouth CR parking lot for a male who appeared to be naked inside a Ford Explorer and committing a lewd act. The first officer on scene observed the suspect, a 47 year old male who provided a residential address in Dedham. The Dedham man was completely clothe less and was startled by the officer's presence. The male immediately covered himself with a towel and then put on a pair of shorts while exiting his vehicle. Before the officer could ask any questions the male stated " I wasn't masturbating".  The male claimed he was at Nantasket Beach for the day and pulled into the MBTA lot to "Change his clothes". 

The male allegedly later admitted he was in fact performing a lewd act. Officers were unable to locate the original reporting party. The male will be summoned into Quincy District Court for Lewd and Lascivious Conduct.

Boston man victimizes an elderly woman. MBTA Haymarket

 On May 26, 2021 at approximately 8:40AM a 75 year old woman was with her small pet dog at the MBTA's Haymarket Station when she was approached by a male, later identified as FAYCAL DAAMACHE, 53, of Boston. DAAMACHE engaged the victim in small talk feigning to be interested in her dog. DAAMACHE's ultimate goal, we allege, was to district the elderly victim long enough to steal her purse which is exactly what he did. DAAMACHE got away with the victim's cell phone, keys, ID's and bank cards. 

Subsequent to an investigation by Transit Police detectives DAAMACHE, on 05/27/2021 at his residence, was placed into custody. DAAMACHE was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

Identification is sought on the subject of interest depicted within relative to a Weapon Investigation onboard an MBTA bus at the intersection of Dudley Street and Howard Avenue on Thursday, April 29, 2021, approximately 10:39 PM.

East Boston man attempts to carjack a taxi at Braintree MBTA

 On May 24, 2021 at approximately 12:48AM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Braintree station for a report of an assault. Upon arrival officers were met by the victim and ascertained the following information: the victim, 57 years of age, works as a cab driver and was waiting to pick up a customer in the taxi stand at the Braintree MBTA station. The victim was approached by a male, later identified as Zaccaria Adan, 28, of East Boston. Adan requested a ride and the victim explained he already had a fare he was waiting for. Adan responded by punching the taxi's window and yelling obscenities. The victim exited his taxi and was then physically set upon by Adan. Adan, with a close fist, began punching the victim about his face and head eventually knocking him to the ground. Adan then began kicking the victim in the head. Adan then entered into the victim's taxi and attempted to drive away but was unsuccessful. Adan then stole the victim's cellphone and US Currency from the taxi and attempted to leave the area. 

Adan was positively identified by the victim as well as a witness as the assailant and placed into custody. Adan was transpoted to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
