Ground Hog Day !!

Even though we are on the verge of Labor Day Weekend 2013 it feels more like Ground Hog Day ! We at tpdnews were actually naive enough to believe folks would stridently adhere to our advice of how NOT to get arrested on the MBTA. (see our advice here) As it turns out folks are simply not heeding our advice and doing their own thing. For example last night, August 28, 2013, at approximately 6:20pm Transit Police officers from Area 3 were on patrol at MBTA Fields Corner station in Dorchester. While there they had occasion to observe a female, later identified as Hollyann Johnson, 23 of Plainville, MA., fare evade by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer.

Officers approached Johnson.................you guessed it Johnson had a warrant in existence for her arrest issued out of Wrentham District Court for Larceny from a Building. Officers placed Johnson into custody on the warrant and transported her to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. Johnson was also issued a citation for fare evasion.

Collin Anderson
Earlier that same evening, again at MBTA Fields Corner Station, officers from Area 3 observed a male, later identified as Collin Anderson, 24 of Dorchester, fare evade by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached Anderson....................... YOU GUESSED IT !!!!! there was a warrant in existence for Anderson's arrest issued from West Roxbury District Court for Violation of the Commonwealth's Drug Laws. Anderson was taken into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
to be continued.....
