On August 10, 2016 at approximately 7:57PM the male subject depicted within entered onto the Right of Way at the MBTA's Aquarium Station and proceeded into the tunnel. This caused a delay and disruption in service. Several Transit Police personnel responded to the scene and conducted an area search to include entering into the tunnel. Officers were unable to locate the individual. A preliminary investigation has suggested the unknown male's purpose was to obtain a "selfie" inside the tunnel.
This type of behavior will not be tolerated. This criminal act could have turned deadly, it placed TPD officers and MBTA employees in harms way and greatly inconvenienced our riding public.
