Boston man arrested for violent attack at MBTA Charles station.

 On October 21, 2021 at approximately 5:50PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Charles/MGH station for a report of a person assaulted. Upon arrival officers were met by the victim and several witness who collectively provided the following information; the victim, a 25 year old male, was violently set upon by another male without provocation while walking on the northbound platform. The assailant with a closed fist struck the victim in the back of his head numerous times knocking him to the ground. While the victim was on the ground the assailant repeatedly kicked the victim about his head. At this time several witnesses were yelling for the assailant to stop. The assailant fled out of the station. 

GAVEN GORDON
Based on detailed descriptions provided by witnesses Transit Police officers were able to locate the assailant, later identified as Gaven Gordon, 26, of Roxbury at the MBTA's Downtown Crossing station. Gordon was positively identified as the assailant and placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. The victim was transported to a local area hospital by Boston EMS.
