The subject depicted within is wanted for questioning relative to an Indecent Assault & Battery at Kendall Station on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at approximately 5:40 PM.The subject allegedly videotaped his victim then Indecently Assaulted her.

Boston man smashes out TPD cruiser's window.

 On March 30, 2021 at approximately 8:30PM a Transit Police officer assigned to the North District was on a call for service at the MBTA's Harvard Sq station. While the officer was inside the station a male, later identified as HABTAMU MESENE, 18, of Boston was outside the station near the officer's marked Transit Police cruiser yelling anti-police rhetoric. Subsequently Mesene retrieved a metal table from a nearby cafe and smashed out the cruiser's driver side window. When the officer returned to his cruiser and noticed shards of glass strewn about the street as well as inside the cruiser his attention was drawn to Mesene who was still on scene. A citizen informed the officer, Mesene was the individual who knocked the window out and the incident was capture on video. 

Mesene was placed into custody and transported to TPD-HQ for the arrest booking process. Mesene also threatened harm to the officer and made several anti-police statements.

Boston man arrested at Newmarket Station.

 On March 29, 2021 at approximately 4:30PM a Transit Police officer responding to concerns of individuals loitering and drinking alcohol at the MBTA Newmarket Station encountered a male, later identified as Rogelio Martinez-Vazquez, 39, of Boston.  Martinez-Vazquez was sleeping on a bench with a shattered glass bottle of an alcoholic beverage strewn about. The officer woke up Martinez-Vazquez to ascertain if he needed any medical attention or other services.  Martinez-Vazquez responded in the negative and the officer, who believed he exhibited signs of intoxication, spent several minutes requesting Martinez-Vazquez to find a more suitable place to sleep. Martinez-Vazquez refused initially but eventually walked off of the platform and headed in the direction of the officers cruiser. Once at the cruiser Martinez-Vazquez began to urinate directly on the officer's cruiser and moved his body in several directions in a attempt to urinate on as much as the cruiser as possible. Martinez-Vazquez continued this behavior while the officer was present and requested Martinez-Vazquez cease. Martinez-Vazquez additionally struck the cruiser's window with his hand.

The officer attempted to place Martinez-Vazquez into custody and he resisted, ultimately he was brought under control and transported to TPD-HQ for the arrest booking process.

Tewsksbury man arrested by TPD at Back Bay station.

 On March 25, 2021 at approximately 6PM Transit Police were sent to the MBTA's Back Bay Station to meet a victim of a larceny. Upon arrival officers were met by the victim who informed them he secured his bicycle, valued at 500.00 dollars, inside Back Bay station earlier in the day and proceeded to take the Orange Line to his destination. Upon his return to Back Bay his bicycle was missing. 

As luck would have it while the officers were still on scene the victim observed a male riding his bicycle on the Dartmouth Street side of the station and excitedly informed the officers who quick footed it down Dartmouth Street and stopped the male. The victim positively identified the bike as his displaying pictures of the bike from his phone. The male who was in possession of the bike, later identified as Jason Ventolieri, 44, of Tewksbury had different explanations as to why he was in possession of the bike but none of them passed the proverbial smell test. To make matters worse for Mr. Ventolieri he had several outstanding warrants in existence for his arrest issued from Charlestown District Court for various Motor Vehicle Violations and Larceny from a Building and Cambridge District Court for Receiving Stolen Property. Ventolieri was placed into custody and transported to TPD-HQ for the arrest booking process.

UPDATE Mass Ave ATM break in. Arrest made.

 On March 11, 2021 we posted photographs depicting an individual wanted for Breaking & Entering a Depository at the MBTA's Mass Ave Station (see posting here) Subsequent to an investigation by Transit Police Detectives, Carlos Pagan, 38, of Boston was arrested early this morning (03/22/2021) in the 600 block of Massachusetts Avenue. Pagan was transported to TPD-HQ for the arrest booking process.

Couple arrested for Assaulting TPD officers after assaulting another victim.

 On March 19, 2021 at approximately 7:24PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District were inside the Nubian Sq. MBTA station when they were approached by a victim seeking assistance. The victim informed the officers he was punched in the face several times which resulted in a chipped tooth, swollen lip and eye. The victim stated the assault occurred on Warren Street and his assailant was still somewhere in the area. The victim provided a detailed description of his assailant. Shortly thereafter officers observed a male matching the description inside Nubian Sq. station and subsequently the victim positively identified the male as his assailant. 

Officers approached the male, later identified as Kyle Hicks, 29, of Roxbury. Hicks immediately became combative and resisted the officers attempts to investigate the alleged assault. At this time Hicks' female companion, Valerie Gales, 30, of Dorchester attempted to strike the officer with a glass bottle. After a violent struggle with Hicks and Gales, with assistance of numerous responding officers, both subjects were placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
