Man wanted in Brighton District Court draws attention to himself.

Christopher Donlon

On February 12, 2020 Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Haymarket Station to take a report of Malicious Damage to an MBTA bus. Upon arrival officers were met by the MBTA bus operator who informed them a male kicked the doors to the bus causing it to shatter while he was in the busway at Haymarket Station. Officers were provided with a description of the offending male and conducted an area search to no avail.

A short time later officers were notified the offending male, later identified as Christopher Donlon, 39, of Revere was on board an MBTA bus in Chelsea. Officers located the bus on Park Street in Chelsea and subsequently discovered Donlon had a warrant for his arrest issued from Brighton District Court for Assault & Battery on a Person over 60. Donlon was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

Revere woman arrested for Larceny.

Victoria Cepada

On February 13, 2020 at approximately 2:30AM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's South Station Bus Terminal for a report of a Larceny. Upon arrival officers were met by the victim who relayed the following; while performing her duties as a security officer she realized her back pack was missing from a secured area within the bus terminal and was notified by her bank someone had attempted to use her credit card within the last 15 minutes. Officers reviewed surveillance cameras and quickly responded to the ATM were the Victim's stolen card was used and located the individual, later identified as Victoria Cepada, 29, of Revere, who was observed on video removing the victim's backpack containing credit cards, cash and other personal belongings.

Cepada was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

Quincy man arrested for Cruelty to Animals.

William Bagen

On February 12, 2020 at approximately 4:40PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District while on patrol at the MBTA's South Station Red Line area were approached by a female who informed them a male had just kicked her service dog in the head and stated " Get that F****** dog out of my way".  Officers received a detailed description from the reporting party and quickly located the offending male, later identified as William Bagen, 43, of Quincy seated on a bench on the outbound platform eating food. Officers returned Bagen to the reporting party where he was positively identified as the person who assaulted her service dog.

Bagen was placed into custody for Cruelty to Animals and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

Dorchester man flees from TPD apprehended after foot pursuit

Gustavus Beverly

On February 6, 2020 at approximately 5:50PM members of the Transit Police MOP Unit were in the vicinity of the North Station area when their attention was drawn a Ford Explorer being driven erratically and creating a hazard to other motorists.  Officers initiated a stop of the vehicle, at first the driver, later identified as Gustavus Beverly, 52, of Dorchester, stopped and then upon approach of officers sped off. Officers briefly pursued the vehicle however Beverly ultimately lost control and crashed into 226 Causeway Street. Beverly exited and fled on foot. Officers gave chase and apprehended Beverly on Medford Street. Beverly was taken into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. During this process it was discovered Beverly had numerous warrants in existence for his arrest issued out of the following:

Roxbury District Court for Abuse Prevention Order Violations 3 counts, Criminal Harassment, Assault & Battery and Strangulation and Dorchester District Court for Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Larceny Under 1,200.00, Threats to Commit a Crime, Malicious Destruction of Property and Intimidation of a Witness.

Boston man causes thousands dollars worth of damage.

Anthony Pennant

On January 30, 2020 at approximately 3:18AM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Chinatown Station for a report of Malicious Damage to the Fare Vending machines. Upon arrival the officer noted several fare vending machines were severely damaged. A review of public safety camera system displayed a male enter and intentionally utilize a hammer to damage the machines.

Subsequent to an investigation by Transit Police Detectives Anthony Pennant, 28, of Boston has been identified as the person responsible and was placed into custody. Pennant's criminal conduct costs the taxpayers thousands of dollars in repairs and inconveniences those seeking to add value to their Charlie Cards.

Somerville man arrested for Unarmed Robery at MBTA Haymarket Station.

Michael Coneeny

On February 1, 2020 at approximately 11AM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District were on patrol at the MBTA's Haymarket Station when they observed a male running towards them screaming for help. The male victim, 51, informed the officers of the following:  While standing outside the Dunkin Donuts two males wearing masks covering their faces approached and one of the males closed fisted punched him in the side of the face. The victim attempted to run away and was pursed by his attacker who was attempting to go into victim's pockets. The victim was able to flee.

Officers immediately conducted an area search and based on the victim's description located a male, later identified as Michael Coneeny, 38, of Somerville on the Congress Street side of the station. Coneeny was in possession of a mask as described by victim and admitted to the act. Coneeny was placed into custody for Attempted Unarmed Robbery and Assault and Battery and transported to TPD HQ for the arest booking process.

Trespasser struck. Fatality confirmed Concord.

On January 30, 2020 at approximately 11:30PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Nouth District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Conant Street Crossing in West Concord  for a report of a person possibly struck by a train. Multiple TPD units responded along with Concord Police/Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: A male, approximate age of 18, while trespassing on the right of way, west of the Conant Street Crossing was struck by a commuter rail train on Track 1. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained. TPD Detectives, Concord Police and representatives of the Middlesex County DA's Office are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.

Foul play is NOT suspected.
