Transit Police arrest Boston man with drugs and gun.

On March 29, 2018 at approximately 2:24AM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District were traveling through the intersection of Summer and Lincoln Street's in Boston when their attention was drawn to Chevy Malibu, being operated by a Vincent Lambert, 34, of Dorchester. Lambert failed to yield and cut in front of the officers vehicle. The officers initiated a stop of Lambert. As the officers interacted with Lambert they noted he appeared under the influence of some narcotic/s and he moved his hands about the vehicle. Lambert also furnished a false name. Based on Lambert's behavior he was ordered from the vehicle, at this time officers observed a firearm protruding from the driver's side panel. Officers seized a .22 caliber firearm for which Lambert was not licensed. Lambert was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ.

Inside Lambert's vehicle officers discovered over 300 grams of Methamphetamine and over 100 grams of Fentanyl. During the booking process Lambert's true identity was revealed which showed Lambert had several warrants issued for his arrest from Cambridge District Court for Possession w/Intent to Distribute Class B & E and Dorchester District Court for Possession of Class A & B.

Lambert faces multiple charges related to firearm and drug violations as well as Operating Under the Influence of Drugs.

Trespasser Struck: Winchester

On March 28, 2018 at approximately 8:30PM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to respond to Winchester for a report of a person possibly struck by a MBTA Commuter Rail train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Winchester Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: a male, approximate age of 20's, while trespassing on the right of way in the vicinity of Swanton Street, Winchester was struck by a North Station bound train. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.

TPD Detectives are on scene and investigating along with the Middlesex County DA's Office. Foul play is NOT suspected.

Statement regarding MBTA vs. BPS school bus accident

Statement from Superintendent Sullivan regarding the MBTA/BPS bus accident.




" This morning we received multiple media requests regarding the MBTA/BPS school bus accident. In our quest to be as responsive as possible to the media we issued a statement indicating a preliminary investigation suggested the BPS driver was at fault. Upon a more thorough review of the incident I present you with the following; at approximately 5:43AM on March 26, 2018 an MBTA bus, Route 44, being driven by a 57 year old male and 20 year employee of the MBTA failed to stop for a flashing red light at the intersection of Columbus Ave and Washington Street in Egleston Sq.  The MBTA bus collided with the BPS bus which had already entered into the intersection. No children were on board the BPS bus. Five (5) passengers on board the MBTA bus reported minor injuries as a result of the impact and were either treated on scene or transported to local area hospitals for treatment. The matter remains under investigation.  That being said at this stage of the investigation we know enough, with confidence, the MBTA bus operator will be issued a Massachusetts citation for Failure to Stop. (M.G.L. Chapter 89 Section 9).




We regret the error. At the Transit Police we attempt to be as transparent as possible especially with the media for incidents such as these. I accept full responsibility for the unintended misinformation released earlier.  We are grateful no one was seriously injured and particularly grateful school children were not on board at the time of the incident."

Wanted: Angel Morales Indecent Assault & Battery

Angel Morales

On November 16, 2016 at approximately 8:20AM a female while travelling on an MBTA Orange Line train between Back Bay and State Street Station was Indecently Assaulted by an unknown male. The victim courageously reported this incident to Transit Police and an investigation was immediately initiated.

TPD detectives tirelessly pursued this case and recently through DNA evidence was able to identify 29 year old ANGEL L. MORALES as the offending male. An Arrest Warrant has been issued for Morales from Boston Municipal Court-Central Division for Indecent Assault & Battery. Morales' last known address was in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Morales is a Level 3 Sex Offender.

Weymouth man wanted for Intimidation of a Witness nabbed fare evading.

Stephen Santosuosso

On March 22, 2018 at approximately 10:20PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Department's Crime Suppression Team were conducting Point of Entry Policing at the MBTA's Andrew Sq. Station. While there they had their attention drawn to a male, later identified as Stephen Santosuosso, 36, of Weymouth. Santosuosso fare evaded by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached Santosousso for the purposes of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there was a warrant in existence for Santosousso's arrest issued from Taunton District Court for Intimidation of a Witness. Santosuosso was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

During the booking process officers recovered a controlled Class A substance from his person.

Dorchester woman threatens to bite TPD officers ear off.

Sheila Lynch

On March 22, 2018 at approximately 5:40PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District were on patrol at the MBTA's South Station Bus Terminal when they were approached by a female victim who relayed the following: the victim, an employee of Peter Pan Bus Lines, was aggressively approached by a female, later identified as Sheila Lynch, 29, of Dorchester who demanded a refund on her bus ticket. The victim attempted to calm Lynch down however Lynch produced a knife and made threats relative to what would happen if she did not get a refund.

Officers located Lynch within the bus terminal and recovered the knife used in the Assault.

Subsequent to their interaction officers discovered Lynch had an arrest warrant issued for her from Dorchester District Court for Threats to Commit a Crime and Assault Dangerous Weapon/Knife. Officers placed Lynch into custody and were escorting her to a police transport vehicle when she stated to the officer, " I'm going to bite your ear off.... I can take you."


Lynch was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

Boston man arrested for larceny.

Anthony Stimson

On March 21, 2018 at approximately 5AM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Downtown Crossing Orange Line for a medical emergency. Upon arrival officers located an unconscious 52 year old male. Officers undertook life saving measures and Boston EMS was summoned. Unfortunately the male was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS.

A preliminary investigation revealed prior to the officers arrival a male, later identified as Anthony Stimson, 30, of Boston approached the victim as he lay unconscious and rummaged through his belongings and person and stole items from him to include the victim's prescriptions. After obtaining his ill gotten gains Stimson vacated the area and took no further action to summon help for the unconscious victim.

Officers located Stimson on Summer Street shortly after the incident and placed him into custody, Officers located a prescription pill bottle in the name of the victim from Stimson's person. Stimson was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
