Bourne Man arrested at MBTA South Station

On September 28, 2013 at approximately 5:20 p.m. Transit Police officers from Area 1 were on patrol at MBTA South Station Commuter Rail when they observed 3 males who had been loitering. The officers believed one of the males had a warrant for his arrest. Officers began to make their way towards the trio however upon seeing the officers approach they hurriedly separated from each other and attempted to vacate. Officers were able to catch up to the suspect male and identify him as Brett Whitcomb, 39 of Bourne. Sure enough Whitcomb had 3 warrants in existence for his arrest issued from Brockton District Court for Larceny by Check Over 250.00, Plymouth District Court for Larceny Over 250.00 by False Pretense and Quincy District Court for Larceny Over 250.00 by False Pretense. Whitcomb was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

Cell phone robber-Arrested !!

On September 23, 2013 at approximately 4 p.m.a female was the victim of an unarmed robbery while she waited for a bus at the MBTA Fields Corner station. The victim was speaking on her cell phone when a male came up from behind her and forcefully grabbed her cellular telephone and fled the station. Transit Police officers from Area 3 responded but the cell phone thief made good his escape.

On September 26, 2013 at approximately 2:50 p.m. the victim (referenced above) while passing through the Fields Corner MBTA noticed the male who had robbed her just days earlier inside the station. The victim quickly notified the Transit Police and officers from Area 3 responded and arrested Markeem Finlea, 21 of Dorchester for Unarmed Robbery. Finlea was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process and is expected to be arraigned sometime today in Dorchester District Court.

Power Tools, Toilet Paper and a Trash barrel.

On September 25, 2013 at approximately 4 p.m. a male, later identified as William Jones, 51 of South Boston, sauntered into the busway of the Andrew Sq. MBTA station. Jones was pushing a 50 gallon trash barrel that contained several hundred dollars worth of stolen power tools. Jones' intention were to sell the ill gotten gains to the highest bidder. Unfortunately for Jones he choose a plainclothed Transit Police detective, who was there on an unrelated investigation, to conduct his business with. To sweeten the deal Jones said he would include the barrel and a large package (18 rolls !) of Charmin Ultra Soft toilet paper. Now who could say no to that.
Needless to say Jones was placed into custody for Knowingly Receiving Stolen Property over 250.00 and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. All the items "for sale" were seized. It is expected that Jones will be arraigned sometime today in South Boston District Court.

On Tuesday, September 17, 2013, the subject depicted below assaulted a passenger on a Blue Line train as it entered Revere Beach MBTA Station. The assault followed a prior verbal altercation at Maverick MBTA Station.

 The subject is described as follows;


    Hispanic male, 30 to 35 years of age, approximately 5’07’’ in height, heavy build, black hair, wearing sunglasses, a blue Red Sox jacket with white sleeves, blue jean pants and white and black shoes

Man arrested for Indecent Assault & Battery- Dudley MBTA

On September 11, 2013 a female reported to Transit Police she was the victim of an Indecent Assault & Battery that occured at Dudley MBTA Bus Terminal. The assualt took place at approximately 12:50 a.m. in the busway area.

On September 22, 2013 at approximately 8:50 p.m. Transit Police officers were on patrol at Dudley Station Bus Terminal when they were approached by the above mentioned victim and informed the male who assaulted her on September 11th, was now standing in the busway.  Officers approached the male, later identified as Kenneth Nelson, 28 of Boston, to investigate. Nelson was un-cooperative and resisted the officers efforts to place him into custody. After a brief struggle the officers were able to gain control and Nelson was placed under arrest. He was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process and is expected to be arraigned sometime today in Roxbury District Court.

 On Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 3:45 pm, the unidentified female depicted within kicked a  MBTA Route # 32 Bus Operator while operating at the intersection of West Street and Hyde Park Avenue. 

  The above wanted subject was wearing a sleeveless, purple blouse, blue jeans, and a black and white head scarf. She is described as 25-30 years old, heavy build, approximately 5’6” in height.
