Possible Record-Man w/9 warrants arrested.

On January 30th, 2013 at approximately 8:30 p.m. plainclothes Transit Police officers from Area 1 were patrolling Park Street MBTA station when they observed a male, Stephen Pasquine, 43 of Boston, whom they believed may be a wanted person. Officers approached Pasquine on the platform area and subsequently confirmed 9 warrants in existence for Pasquine's arrest. The warrants were issued from several different courts (Boston, Wrentham, Attleboro and Milford) for various criminal charges. Pasquine was taken into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the booking process. He will appear in Roxbury District Court sometime today.

On January 30th, 2013 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Transit Police officers from Area 1 were conducting fare evasion enforcement at Park Street MBTA station. While doing so they observed a male, later identified as Keith Hill 29 of Somerville, enter through the fare gates without paying his fare. Officers approached Hill for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered 2 outstanding warrants in existence for Hill's arrest. The warrants issued from Cambridge District Court were for Intimidation of a Witness and Open & Gross Lewdness. Hill was taken into custody for the warrants and transported to Transit Police HQ for the booking process.

Fare Evasion update 2013 :

To date Transit Police officers have issued 482 fare evasion citations system wide in 2013. At this same time period last year officers issued 487 fare evasion citations. The Transit Police will continue to enforce fare evasion as a component of our Point of Entry Policing strategy to keep the MBTA system a secure and safe environment for all to enjoy.

Apple iPhone 5 robber Arrested

On January 29th, 2013 at approximately 12:15 p.m. Transit Police officers from Area 1 received a radio call to respond to Boylston MBTA station for a report of a robbery in progress. While en route one of the officers was flagged down by an MBTA employee at the corner of Washington and West Street's who was off with both the victim and the suspected phone thief. According to the victim and a corroborating witness the situation unfolded as follows:

 The victim, while at Boylston MBTA station, was holding his Apple iPhone 5 in his hand when suddenly a male, later identified as Derek Virgilio, 20 of Boston, snatched the phone from his hand and fled out of the station. The victim chased after Virgilio, upon reaching the top of the stairs an upstanding citizen realizing what was happening assisted the victim and prevented Virgilio from escaping. Virgilio at this time removed his own Apple iPhone 4 displayed it and pleaded that he hadn't done anything wrong. The tactic worked as it gave Virgilio enough time to take off running again.

Once again the victim pursued Virgilio along with an MBTA employee and the upstanding citizen. The chase continued down several streets where the trio eventually caught up to Virgilio on the corner of Washington and West Street's. Transit Police officers on scene recovered a black Apple iPhone 5 from the sleeve of Virgilio and it was positively identified as the victim's. Virgilio was placed under arrest for Unarmed Robbery and transported to Transit Police HQ for the booking process. Virgilio is expected to be arraigned sometime today in Boston Municipal Court.

Update Broadway.Identification made-Warrant Issued

Transit Police placed AnnMarie Tessier into custody on the evening on January 29th, 2013. She will appear in South Boston District Court sometime on 1/30/2013.

On January 28th, 2013 we informed our readers of an assault and arrest which took place at the MBTA Broadway station. We also posted photographs seeking the identity of the female accomplice who fled the scene prior to police arriving. Earlier today Transit Police detectives identified the female who participated in the assault as AnnMarie Tessier, 43 with a last known address in Weymouth.  Transit Police detectives applied for and were granted a warrant for Tessier's arrest issued from South Boston District Court for the charge of Assault by means of a dangerous Weapon and Assault & Battery. On January 28th, 2013 at approximately 8:20 p.m. Transit Police officers from Area 3 were on patrol at Quincy Center MBTA station. While there their attention was drawn to a male, later identified as John Monroe, 32 of Roxbury, who was straddling his body in between the train and the platform. Monroe's actions were preventing the train doors from closing and delaying the train for the rest of its passengers. Officers proceeded in Monroe's direction, while en route the train attendant announced via the intercom system several times "Please clear the doors". Monroe ignored these requests and continued to stand in between the doors preventing their closure. Officers approached Monroe to ascertain what his issue was and subsequently discovered Monroe had a total 4 outstanding warrants in existence for his arrest. The warrants issued from multiple courts were for several different charges. Obviously Monroe did not take our advice seriously regarding what to do if you have a warrant and DO NOT want to be arrested by the Transit Police (Advice given here). Needless to say Monroe was placed into custody for the warrants and transported to Transit Police HQ for the booking process. Monroe will appear sometime today in Roxbury District Court.

You are probably wondering why Monroe would drawn such attention to himself...... we are too. No explanation was given.

Man arrested for Assault

On January 27, 2013 at approximately 6 p.m. Transit Police officers from Area 3 were dispatched to Broadway MBTA station for a report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival officers were met by a male and female victim who informed the officers they were set upon by another couple. Victims further informed the officers they boarded a northbound Red Line train along with their 2 year old daughter at Wollaston station. At this time they noticed a male, later identified as Joseph Pacheco, 43 of Weymouth along with his female companion (unidentified at this time) already on the train car and arguing loudly with one another.  While the train was traveling inbound, Pacheco on two occasions asked the male victim for a cigarette. The victim turned him down on both requests. However on the second request for a cigarette Pacheco was leaning over the victims' stroller/carriage containing their 2 year old daughter. The female victim/mother of the 2 year old demanded Pacheco back away from her daughter. Pacheco's female companion took exception to this request and began assaulting the female victim. The male victim intervened and was then attacked by Pacheco, at this time the train was pulling into Broadway station and the female victim along with her young daughter were able to vacate the train.

Pacheco and his female companion continued to assault the male victim, this time however Pacheco attempted to strike the male victim with a 40oz container of beer. The victim was able to elude the beer bottle and it shattered against the train wall.

Transit Police officers placed Pacheco under arrest for Assault with a dangerous Weapon (beer bottle) and Assault & Battery. At the time of Pacheco's arrest there was an outstanding default warrant in existence for his arrest issued from Boston Municipal Court for Shoplifting. Pacheco was transported to Transit Police HQ for the booking process and is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court sometime today. His unidentified female companion was able to flee prior to police arrival. Transit Police detectives will follow up to ascertain her identity.

On Sunday, December 16, 2012, at approximately 9:47PM, a passenger  reported he was kicked and called a homophobic slur while at MBTA Ashmont Station.

The subject is described as follows;

·         A black male, approximately 5'10" in height, 25-30 years of age, dark beard, wearing a red T-shirt with a black long sleeve shirt underneath, dark colored jeans and a black baseball hat.
