Trespasser Struck: Yawkey Way.

On October 4, 2017 at approximately 3:45PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to Yawkey Station for a person possibly struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train. Several TPD units responded along with Boston Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: a male while standing on the platform unexpectedly entered onto the right of way as the train was approaching and was struck by an outbound MBTA Commuter Rail train on the Worcester Line

 The male, approx. age of 20, has been transported to a local area hospital with life threatening/critical injuries.


Transit Police Detectives along with the Suffolk County DA's Office are investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected.
