Boston woman arrested for Animal Cruelty.

On July 13, 2017 at approximately 10:30PM TPD Officers assigned to the South District were on patrol at the MBTA's Dudley Station. While there they had their attention drawn to a female, later identified as Pamela Tyler, 51, of Boston. Tyler was in possession of a young pit bull dog. The officers observed the young dog named "mimi" attempt to lick the ground. At this time Tyler forcefully yanked on mimi's leash and with considerable force struck mimi in the face. Shortly thereafter, approximately 20 seconds, Tyler grabbed mimi by the head and proceeded deliver multiple blows to mimi's face and nose. The officers immediately intervened and prevented further harm to mimi.

Tyler was placed into custody for Cruelty to Animals. Tyler refused to cooperate with police and resisted being placed into the cruiser and spat upon the officers. Eventually officers were able to transport Tyler to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
