Boston man arrested after he fare evades.

On July 17, 2017 at approximately 2PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District were on patrol at the MBTA's Mass Ave. Station. While there they had their attention drawn to a male, later identified as George Handy, 45, of Southbridge. Handy entered through the fare gates without paying, he "piggybacked" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached Handy for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there was a warrant in existence for his arrest issued out of Boston Municipal Court-Central Division for Possession of a Class A drug, Breaking & Entering and Trespassing. Handy was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
