Randolph man arrested for Indecent Assault & Battery

On May 16, 2017 at approximately 5PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District were approached by a female victim who reported the following: while walking to her vehicle at the MBTA Braintree parking garage she was approached by a male who began to ask her inappropriate questions. Shortly thereafter the male indecently assaulted the victim and fled in an unknown direction.


Subsequent to an investigation by Transit Police Detectives on May 23, 2017 Cody Chery, 21, of Randolph was placed into custody at the MBTA Downtown Crossing station for Indecent Assault & Battery. Detectives noted at the time of arrest Chery was wearing a court ordered GPS bracelet relative to a prior conviction for Indecent Assault & Battery.


Chery was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
