Quincy man arrested after fare evading.

On May 30, 2017 at approximately 10:10PM Transit Police officers were conducting Point of Entry Policing at the MBTA's Andrew Sq. station. While there they observed a male, later identified as Stephen McDermott, 28, of Quincy fare evade by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached McDermott for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there were several warrants in existence for McDermott's arrest issued out of Boston Municipal Court for Unlicensed Operation and Quincy District Court for B&E Building in the Nighttime for Felony, Larceny from a Building and Larceny Under 250.00.


McDermott was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
