Fatality in Attleboro; Trespasser struck

Death Investigation
On December 24, 2016 at approximately 10PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call for a person possibly struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train in Attleboro.

 Multiple Transit Police units, along with Attleboro Fire and EMS responded. Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information : at approximately 10PM a male, approximate age of 30's, while trespassing on Track 1 was struck by an outbound MBTA Commuter Rail train in the vicinity of 700 South Main Street in Attleboro. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained. Transit Police Detectives along with representatives from the Bristol County DA's Office are investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected.
