Sharon woman arrested for attacking train conductor

Emma Bloom
On August 15, 2016 at approximately 10PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Readville Commuter Station for a disorderly person. Upon arrival officers were met by the train's conductor who pointed out a female, later identified as Emma Bloom, 23, of Sharon. The conductor informed the officers as he attempted to collect the fare from Bloom she refused to pay. The conductor informed Bloom she would have to pay her fare or exit the train. Bloom responded by physically attacking the conductor, kicking, punching and biting him. At one point during Bloom's assault it is alleged she produced a folding knife and began to threaten to stab the conductor.

Transit Police officers placed Bloom into custody and transported her to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. It is expected she will be arraigned sometime today in West Roxbury District Court for Assault & Battery, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon Shod Foot.
