Pepperell woman netted by Point of Entry Policing.

On September 1, 2015 at approximately 8:30pm Transit Police officers were conducting Point of Entry Policing at the MBTA's Andrew Sq. station. While there they observed a female, later identified as Kyla Minard, 24, of Pepperell smoking a cigarette in an area with several conspicuously "NO SMOKING" signs posted. Officers approached Minard for the purposes of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there were several warrants in existence for her arrest issued from Fall River District Court for Shoplifting 2 counts, New Bedford District Court for Shoplifting and Ayer District Court motor vehicle violations. Minard was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. During the booking process Minard was found to be in possession of numerous Gabapentin pills for which she did not have a prescription. Minard to be additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Class E substance. It is expected Minard will be arraigned sometime today in South Boston District Court.
