Train fatality investigation, Brockton.

Death Investigation
On July 25, 2015 at approximately 2pm Transit Police officers working in Area 2 received a radio call to respond to Brockton Commuter rail station for a report of a pedestrian possibly struck by a MBTA Commuter Rail train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Brockton Fire and EMS. Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: a male was struck by a Middleborough Line train on track 2 as he was crossing over towards the platform area. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.

The train, a test train, was not carrying passengers and no other injuries were reported. Transit Police detectives along with representatives of the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected.
