New Hampshire man wanted for Sex Offence arrested by TPD

Andrew Pike
On May 12, 2015 at approximately 11AM Transit Police officers working in Area 1 were conducting Point of Entry Policing at the MBTA's Downtown Crossing Station. While there they observed a male, later identified as Andrew Pike, 21, of Manchester, NH loitering at the Washington & Summer Street entrance to the station. Officers approached Pike and engaged him in conversation, Pike furnished a false name and date of birth to the officers in an obvious attempt to conceal his true identity. The officers, not deterred by Pike's misleading responses, subsequently uncovered his true name and discovered there was a warrant in existence for Pike by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department of New Hampshire for "Sex Offence Against a Child-Fondling".

Pike was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. Pike will also be charged with being a Fugitive from Justice.
