Trespasser struck ; NON life threatening.

On April 26, 2015 at approximately 10am Transit Police officers working in Area 4 received a radio call to respond to Norfolk Commuter Rail station for a person possibly struck by a train. Several TPD Units along with Norfolk Fire and EMS responded. Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: a 66 year old male, who was trespassing in the right of way area, was struck by an inbound MBTA Commuter Rail Franklin line train ( no passengers were on board at the time of incident ). The male sustain NON life threatening injuries and was med flighted to Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston for treatment.

Transit Police detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances leading to the incident.
