Trespasser struck in Beverly. Confirmed fatality.

Death investigation 
On March 20, 2015 at approximately 1am Transit Police officers working in Area 2 received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Prides Crossing Commuter Rail station in Beverly for a report of a person possibly struck by a commuter rail train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Beverly Fire and EMS. Transit Police personnel on scene reported the following preliminary information: a male, 21 years of age, while trespassing on the right of way of Track 1 was struck by a Rockport bound train. The male was pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained. Transit Police detectives along with representatives of the Essex County DA's Office are currently investigating the facts and circumstance surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT a factor.
