Jamaica Plain man netted by Point of Entry Policing.

On March 26, 2015 at approximately 5:15pm Transit Police officers working in Area 3 were conducting Point of Entry Policing at the MBTA's Braintree station. While there they observed a male, later identified as Stephen McDermott, 26, of Jamaica Plain loitering and smoking under conspicuously posted "NO SMOKING" signs. Officers approached McDermott and subsequently discovered there were several warrants in existence for his arrest issued from Quincy District Court for Possession of a Controlled Class A Substance, Receiving Stolen Property and Credit Card Fraud. McDermott was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. McDermott was also issued a citation for smoking.
