He was only "Playing". Roxbury man arrested for Armed Robbery.

Edgardo Rodriguez
On March 14, 2015 at approximately 2:15pm Transit Police officers working in Area 4 received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Roxbury Crossing station for a report of an armed robbery by means of a handgun. Upon arrival officers were met by 2 victims, a 20 year old female and 19 year old male, who informed the officers of the following; as the duo were purchasing tickets at the station's fare vending machine they were approached by a male, later identified as Edgardo Rodriguez, 32 of Roxbury who asked them for money. The victims declined Rodruguez' request and he responded by lifting up his shirt to display the handle of a firearm protruding from his waistband.

The victims became frightened and were able to exit the station without turning over their possessions and provided responding officers with a detailed description. Transit Police officers conducted an area search and located Rodriguez in the 600 block of Parker Street where they recovered a replica firearm from his possession. Rodriguez was positively identified by the victims and placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.  Rodriguez stated to the arresting officers "I was only playing with them ".

Rodriguez will be arraigned sometime today for Attempted Armed Robbery in Roxbury District Court.
