Boston man punches out train window.

On March 18, 2015 at approximately 10:15pm Transit Police officers working in Area 4 received a radio call to respond to MBTA Ruggles station for a report of male who just smashed out a window on an MBTA Orange Line train. Upon arrival officers observed a train window was shattered and witnesses were pointing out a male who was responsible. Witnesses further stated the male, later identified as Abdulkadir Abbas, 33, of Boston prior to boarding the train punched the train window.

Officers approached Abbas and placed him into custody for Malicious Destruction of Property Over 250.00. Abbas was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. It is expected Abbas will be arraigned sometime today in Roxbury District Court.

To replace the window Abbas damaged will cost the MBTA approximately 430.00 dollars.
