Hyde Park man already wanted by police, caught stealing from female victim.

On February 25, 2015 at approximately 6:40am Transit Police officers working in Area 1 were on patrol at the MBTA's South Station Commuter Rail. While there their attention was drawn to a disturbance at the entrance to the Red Line. Officers proceeded in that direction and were informed by a female victim her wallet was just stolen from her purse and she pointed out a male, later identified as William Scopa, 30, of Hyde Park as the perpertrator. Scopa was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. During the booking process it was discovered there was a warrant in existence for Scopa's arrest issued from Chelsea District Court for Shoplifting, Disorderly Conduct and Threats to Commit a Crime.

 Scopa was arraigned on 02/25/2015 in Boston Municipal Court-Central Division for Larceny from the Person.
