A Wanted Middleton man tries to outsmart police, lands in jail.

Kenneth Edge
On October 9, 2014 at approximately 11am Transit Police officers working in Area 1 were on patrol at the MBTA's South Station. As the officers were walking through the entrance of the Bus Terminal their attention was drawn to a male, later identified as Kenneth Edge,53, of Middleton. Edge was observed panhandling, Officers approached Edge who provided a false name and furnished an identification card with a fictitious name to the officers. (Edge had good reason to try an outsmart the officers : more on Edge here)

As the officers conversed with Edge they were not convinced he was who he claimed to be. Edge gave inconsistent statements and attempted to mislead the officers throughout the encounter. The officers persistence paid off as they subsequently ascertained Edge's true identity and discovered he had several warrants in existence for his arrest issued from Plymouth Superior Court for; Stalking, Threats to Commit a Crime (2) counts,  Intimidation of a Witness/Court Official, Prisoner Vandalize Jail Property and Abuse Prevention Order. Edge was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
