Two Boston men caught defacing MBTA Red Line car.

Corey Deltufo
On September 8, 2014 at approximately 8pm Transit Police officers working in Area 1 received a radio call to respond to Downtown Crossing MBTA station for a report of Graffiti in progress. Upon arrival officers were provided with a description of two males by a witness who observed the offending males spray painting and marking the operator's door within a Red Line car. Officers located two males, later identified as Corey Deltufo, 18, and Manuel Ortiz, 18, both of Boston on the platform who matched the description provided.

Deltufo's hands were covered in red  paint (same color that was used to deface train door) and they were in possession of Sharpie King Size permanent markers also in the colors used to deface train door. The witness positively identified Deltufo and Ortiz as the offending males and both subjects were placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. It is expected both will be arraigned sometime today in Boston Municipal Court-Central Division for Tagging.
