Transit Police investigate stabbing at Wonderland MBTA station.

Preliminary investigation suggests a 49 year old male and his 33 year old female companion had no prior familiarity with a 28 year old male prior to the incident. What precipitated the altercation remains under investigation. However at some point a verbal exchange occurred amongst the trio as they were inside Wonderland Station . At this time an inbound Blue Line train was in the station and the interaction escalated into a physical confrontation were the 33 year female sustained a non life threatening stab wound and her 49 male companion sustained a serious stab wound. Both victims transported to MGH for treatment.

Subsequent to information Transit Police received on scene TPD officers responded to Revere Beach MBTA station and placed a 28 male into custody. The 28 year old male, who furnished a Boston address, will be charged with Assault with Intent to Murder and Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (knife).

On June 6, 2014 at approximately 9:30PM Transit Police officers working in Area 2 received a radio call to respond to Wonderland MBTA station for a person possibly stabbed. Upon arrival officers located a male and female suffering from an apparent stab wound. Both victims, approximately in the 30's, have been transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment. The female victim sustained a NON life threatening injury and the male victim has sustained a serious injury.  Transit Police have a male suspect in custody. Transit Police detectives are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
