Trespasser struck in Grafton; Confirmed fatality

On May 29, 2014 at approximately 7:30 PM Transit Police officers working in Area 4 received a radio call to respond to Grafton for a person possibly struck by a MBTA Commuter Rail train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Grafton Police and Fire, Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information; At approximately 7 PM an 18 year old male, while trespassing on Track 2, was struck by an outbound Worcester Line train in the vicinity of mile post 37.5. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.

Transit Police detectives and representatives from the Worcester County District Attorney's Office are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
