Ricardo Encarnacion
On April 20, 2014 at approximately 1:40 pm Transit Police officers working in Area 4 were on patrol at the MBTA's Roxbury Crossing station when one of the officers observed a male, later identified as Ricardo Encarnacion, 19 of East Boston, whom he believed had several warrants out for his arrest. The officer approached Encarnacion and asked for his name. Encarnacion became nervous and provided a false name then removed a glassine baggie containing marijuana from his pocket and handed it to the officer. The eagle eyed officer engaged Encarnacion in further conversation when suddenly Encarnacion took off running. Several Transit Police officers gave pursuit chasing Encarnacion through traffic and eventually apprehending him on Smith Street in the Mission Hill area. Encarnacion had the following warrants in existence for his arrest : Intimidation of a Witness, Credit Card Fraud, Armed Robbery and Armed Carjacking issued from East Boston District Court; Intimadation of a Witness, Assault & Battery, Threats to Commit a Crime, Violation of a Abuse Prevention Order and Assault & Battery wit a Dangerous Weapon issued out of Chelsea District Court.  Encarnacion was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
