Man struck by Commuter Rail train in Kingston-Fatality

On July 17, 2013 at approximately 10am Transit Police officers from Area 3 were dispatched to the Kingston Commuter Rail station for a report of a  person struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Kingston Police, Fire and EMS. Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information; a white male approximate age of 59 years while trespassing on the right of way was struck by a southbound train. The male sustained substantial injuries and was pronounced deceased. Transit Police detectives along with the Plymouth County DA's Office are currently investigating the facts and circumstances leading to the incident.
