TPD proud to Co-Sponsor a Children Services of Roxbury play

The Transit Police Department is proud to co-sponsor a Children's Services of Roxbury production, "Know the Law". Please come out and see the Opening Night's Performance, Friday June 14th at 6:30pm at the Salvation Army Kroc Center of Boston, 650 Dudley Street, Boston, MA. Deputy Chief Kenneth Green, who spearheads the Transit Police efforts at maintaining and securing positive relationships with young people throughout Boston stated " this is a most worthy event. It is crucial for us as police officers and more importantly as mentors to the youth in our communities to be actively engaged with them. We want to build a relationship based on trust and openness. This is an example of that commitment we have  ".

Know the Law! is a 45-minute play of interwoven dramas
about teenagers in trouble, specifically designed for a young urban audience.
Teen actors present authentic scenes in an effort to teach their peers how a better
understanding of Massachusetts law can help them make informed choices and stay out of trouble.

A talk-back between the actors, the audience, and a Police Officer follows each performance.
